Over two hundred people enjoyed the sunshine at Legal & General Homes’ Summer Celebration at Buckler’s Park, Crowthorne, on Saturday 14 July. The day marked the opening of the development’s four new show homes and prospective buyers were joined by familiar faces from the local community to take a first look and sample a taste of what life will be like at Buckler’s Park. The event was full of family fun and, as parents browsed stalls from local businesses including Swinley Bike Hub and the Holme Grange Craft Village, younger guests were kept entertained with free ice lollies from Romans Estate Agents and complimentary face painting from Missy Sparkles.
There was something for everyone – the team from Lily Lane Beauty pampered guests with free treatments while vintage car fans had a chance to get up close to an original Buckler car model and a 2011 Dodge Challenger provided by Crowthorne Coachworks. Local pharmacy – H.A McParland was also there offering advice as well as much needed sunblock and water for the visitors. Things got competitive with a challenge to guess the number of balloons in a digger and more than 80 people entered for a chance to win a £50 voucher to spend at the Lexicon Shopping Centre in Bracknell. Attendees should check the Legal & General Homes Facebook page for the announcement of the winner.
John Allan, Managing Director at Legal & General Homes, said: “Crowthorne is a wonderful community and we’re so grateful to everyone who turned out on the day, from the stallholders to residents and our team of volunteers. They all helped us to showcase everything the local area has to offer and make the Summer Celebration such a success. The overwhelmingly positive reaction to our show homes on the day was the best reward for everyone’s hard work. This represents the start of an exciting next chapter at Buckler’s Park and we can’t wait to welcome many more visitors in the months to come.”
For anyone who couldn’t make it on the day, there’s no need to miss out – the Buckler’s Park Visitors Centre and show homes can be found just off Old Wokingham Road, Crowthorne (sat nav postcode RG45 6LL) and are open daily 10am-5:30pm.
