Community Update Autumn 2019
At Legal & General Homes, we understand that communication is key to our local residents, so we put the utmost importance on providing regular updates to anyone who may be affected by the construction of our developments.
Whilst our team works hard to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum, we would also like to thank residents for their patience and understanding.
Access to Hogwood Farm
The main access road into Hogwood Farm has been widened to allow for the safe movement of two-way traffic into the construction sites and industrial units. We have also installed traffic calming measures in the form of speed bumps to help improve safety and ask that you kindly respect the speed limits along this road at all times. A gateman system is also in operation during working hours.
Our show homes are scheduled to open in late September and the site entrance gate and gateman will be moved further into the site to accommodate the new access.
Our Visitors Centre is now open on Sheerlands Road (just off Reading Road, A327), we’re pleased to report high levels of interest in our new homes.
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00 – 17:30.
We launch our brand new show home on Saturday 5th October, you can register your details and book a private appointment here.
Construction of Phase 1
We have now begun construction of Phase 1 at Finchwood Park, which comprises of 178 homes, delivering a mix of both private and affordable houses and apartments. We have approximately 80 tradespeople on site every day. The new homes are at various stages of build from foundation to internal fit-out. We look forward to welcoming the first new residents to Finchwood Park in the Autumn.
SANG (Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace)
Alongside the construction of homes, we’re also currently creating a new SANG area which, once completed, will provide residents of Finchwood Park and the surrounding community with a great place to walk, cycle, exercise and walk the dog.
We have a strict no construction traffic policy in place for Park Lane and all our suppliers and contractors have been advised and we will continue to monitor this.

Security and site safety
Our site is patrolled by security out of work hours. We would, however, like to take this opportunity to remind residents that whilst all reasonable precautions are taken, building sites can seem exciting to children but they can be dangerous places.
As ever, we would, therefore, ask parents to ensure their children are made aware of the dangers and are instructed not to enter the construction site at any time unless doing so under the full supervision of our site staff and wearing full personal protective equipment.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank residents for their patience and understanding with us whilst we undertake the development. Our team will be working hard to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum always.
If you have any queries or feedback during any stage of our development, please get in touch with us by contacting Tom Rowson, Project Manager at Finchwood Park, at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07384 807126.
