Community Update 2019
At Legal & General Homes, we understand that communication is key to our local residents, so we put the upmost importance on providing anyone who may be affected by the construction of our developments with regular updates.
Whilst our team work hard to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum, we would also like to thank residents for their patience and understanding.

What’s coming to Finchwood Park?
Finchwood Park is a new development of traditionally-styled 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes set in over 140 acres of surrounding woodland, trees and hedgerows.
Once complete, the development will deliver 1,500 high-quality homes, including affordable homes, and will provide a great opportunity to be part of an exciting new sustainable community in a prime residential area with superb local amenities. Numerous community benefits will also be provided in collaboration with Wokingham Borough Council, such as:
• A new primary school
• Over 140 acres of public open spaces, including a country park
• On-site sports facilities
• Improved public highways
• New footpaths and cycleways
• Employment opportunities in the form of commercial or retail facilities
We’re also excited to have launched our Visitors Centre. This will provide a place for you to view the showhomes, discuss the development and spend time learning about the improvements Legal & General Homes are making to the area. Our sales consultants will be on hand to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
Access to Hogwood Farm
The main access road into Hogwood Farm has been widened to allow for the safe movement of two-way traffic into the construction sites and industrial units. We have also installed traffic calming measures in the form of speed bumps along this road to help improve the safety along this road. We ask that you kindly respect the speed limits along this road at all times.
Construction of Phase 1
We have now begun construction of Phase 1 at Finchwood Park, which comprises of 178 homes, delivering a mix of both private and affordable houses and apartments.
SANG (Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace)
Alongside the construction of homes, we’re also currently creating a new SANG (Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace) area which, once complete, will provide residents of Finchwood Park and the surrounding community with a great place to walk, cycle, exercise and walk the dog.
Items to Note
There is a strict no construction traffic policy in place for Park Lane, and we request that local residents do not walk through the industrial area and access road. As construction sites can be very dangerous, we have set up 24-hour security to oversee the development, so please ensure you do not try to access any areas of the site at any time.
