We’re committed to creating beautiful, vibrant, sustainable communities that enhance and benefit their surrounding areas and the residents that live there. That’s why we’re delighted to have been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Thames Valley Property Awards – some really welcome, and positive news for our teams!
We’re in the running for Housebuilder of the Year and Sustainable Development Project of the Year against some brilliant competition from the local area and these nominations are a fantastic endorsement for our approach that prioritises quality, sustainability, customer service and social value.
With a pipeline of over 4,000 homes across four developments in the Thames Valley, we start speaking to local people before construction begins on site so that we can understand their priorities for the places where they live. As a result of these early conversations we’re providing shared facilities and green spaces for communities, returning inaccessible land to public use and supporting local charities as well as employing and training local people.
Over the past few years we have developed strong local relationships with residents and local businesses, and we’re immensely proud of what we have achieved in the Thames Valley by working together. These relationships have never been more important than they are now in these uncertain times.
We intentionally create Visitors Centres rather than sales suites so that they can be places for nearby residents to pop in for a cup of tea and find out information as well as catering for our buyers. Our teams have missed this during the past couple of months – the day-to-day buzz of life on site and the villages where we are based – but are looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
We’ll be in touch in the coming weeks with more details about when and how that will happen. In the meantime, we hope you’re staying safe and well.
