The first homes at our newest development, Buckler’s Park, are now on sale, and after months of preparation, it’s been a pleasure to welcome the first interested buyers through our doors.
With a range of over 200 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes available, set in more than 100 acres of parkland and open space, there’s something for people at every stage of their lives, from first-time buyers to downsizers or those looking for a new home for their family.
But it’s not just Buckler’s Park which has this appeal. Crowthorne, the beautiful Berkshire village in which it is situated, has a strong independent spirit running through the heart of its business community which creates a friendly, caring atmosphere. Residents here are proud to shop locally and you’ll always see people greeting each other throughout the day. Boutique shops sit side-by-side with tearooms, restaurants and local amenities including banks, DIY stores, beauty salons and florists. With businesses on the high street dating back to 1895, there’s a real sense of local pride and interest in the area’s history. The village is also surrounded by the vibrant centres of Bracknell, Reading and Wokingham and the historic hubs of Sandhurst, Ascot and Windsor – each with its own unique identity.
It’s easy to live an active lifestyle here, whether through facilities like the Edgbarrow Sports Centre and Wellington Health and Fitness Club which offer pitches, pools, gyms, climbing walls and racquet courts for those seeking day-to-day action, to the beautiful Swinley Forest, perfect for exploring by bike, on foot, or even among the treetops. For those who prefer to watch rather than play, the world-famous Ascot Racecourse is only a 15-minute drive away and local football club Reading F.C has the distinction of being one of the oldest teams in England.
Parents and those with young families are served by a fantastic range of schools in and around the local area. Buckler’s Park itself will be home to the additional site for Crowthorne Church of England Primary School, rated outstanding by Ofsted, and Easthampstead Park Community School and Hatch Ride Primary School are all nearby. Farnborough Sixth Form College is rated Outstanding and is a short drive away, and there is also a good selection of independent day and boarding schools, including Wellington College. For those embarking on the next stage of their education undergraduate and post-graduate degrees are offered by the nearby University of Reading and Royal Holloway, University of London.
We think that there’s plenty to love about Crowthorne, but what really makes it special is the people who call it home. We’ve been speaking to some of those who live and work in Crowthorne about their passion for the area – why not watch our short video to see for yourselves? If you like what you see then come join us at our Visitor Centre, open daily, and our team can tell you more about how you can make the first steps to calling this place home.
